Last night I had it out with my neighbors, now I don't know how to handle the situation?
I've lived in my new apartment for 3 months. During that time, I've had to listen to my neighbors put the headboard through my wall countless times at 3 or 4 a.m. It has been so bad I moved out to the couch for two months. Now, I decided that I pay rent and I deserve to sleep in my bedroom. So, last night at 3 a.m. like clockwork I get woken up by a squeaky mattress, moaning, and a headboard banging up against my wall so hard I thought it was going to knock down the photo on the wall. I ended up banging on the wall in retaliation...first time I've done that. Well, I thought that ended it. But, they kept it up and banged back, so I went ballistic and pounded on the wall until they stopped. But, I'm afraid I've opened Pandora's box with this situation. Have you had to deal with this type of thing before? What do I do about it? The management can't do anything to them unless they come and hear the disturbance, which is not going to happen at 3 a.m. Should I get out my phone and record it and email it to them when it happens that way they have proof? I've never seen these people before because we live on different sides of the building, and we will never cross paths. I'm just afraid every time I make a noise they are going to bang against my wall, and when they have every night at 3 a.m. they are going to purposely make extra noise. They are obviously immature if they don't get embared by other people having to listen to them have all hours of the night. How do I handle this?
