Im getting BRaCes? im 14?

uhh, so im getting braces and im 14 and i feel too old to be getting braces, all my friends got there braces off and now im getting them on!! uhh and im in 9th grade and i dont want them on when im a senior! my consultation date is may 6th and after that is when i get them on.. so do u have any advice?? and i know some ppl might say: ur not old i know ppl who got them on at age 18, 24, 40, etc. but anything u can say to make me feel better? lol thanks
