Why are 6 Republican Senators and 18 Republican Reps. Retiring?

More lucrative deals as lobbyist and or special interest groups. On the other hand; perhaps they are just as dejected politically at the spiraling political bantering; yet nothing is being accomplished out of the mess, but division and hatred stream rolling forward.
