I am just watching Obama explaining himself to the American people over Libya ..?

Michael, he does know it, but the stupid people who voted for him and who are also antiwar, and think HE is anti war don't realize our role in NATO. That is the only reason he said what he said, to fool his followers. He has just announced his one billion dollar re-election campaign so he has to appeal to those same uneducated voters, who will only vote for him because of the color of his skin and not the content of his experience. (or lack thereof)
