Horror Films today SUCKS big time! Anyone else agrees?

I would tend to agree. I would even go one step further and say that your statement still works if you remove the word "Horror" for most of the crap that's out there these days. The reason you like those horror movies you mentioned is that there was a strong plot in each. The story is what is most important, whether in a horror film, a comedy, action pic, or drama. If the emphasis is on what they can do with a computer in post production, the film suffers. Not to say that effects are a bad thing, but they are to serve the story, not the other way around.
