Help Finding a Jewish and Muslim Reference?

About a year ago, I saw one of those History Channel doentaries on religion and they discussed this small mountain village where a community of Jews lived along side a community of Muslims. It was interesting because they got along perfectly, the families got along, the kids played together and they said the religious leaders would even chat and discuss things or how to handle issues within their own congregations. They attended each other's special holiday celebrations and generally were this almost perfect example of how to coexist with respect and intelligence. I would love to look more into their sociology but for the life of me can't remember where they were or the name of their village. Has anyone here heard of them or know where I could find some more info on them?
