How do I stop picking the center of my upper lip?

Is there a remedy for this? I have a habit of picking the direct center of my upper middle lip and it bleeds sometimes. It makes me look like a mutant, and there is a visible scar there. When I drink wine, the jagged surface area makes the wine stick to it, which makes it look like I just ate a bunch of chocolate.
