Why do people get so stupid about their dogs?

i'm talking about two particular questions that i've come across recently - "where do i get my dog's ears pierced" and "should i sue the vet who left my dog with crooked " the first question- well what can you say, thick or what. and the second- well this idiot reckoned her dog would suffer from self-image problems after her were left misaligned after being spayed. i mean how stupid can people get. why do so many put human emotions to their dog. a dog is a dog not a human or a dolly so why not treat them as our canine friends deserve, they are much happier as dogs. the amount of money these idiots spend on silly things like fancy frocks and totally unnecessary therapy could be better spent helping people or abused animals. what do you think and why?

(SUGGESTIONS) Mini-Road trip September 2010?

Before I go back to college, me and a friend are interested in going on a mini-roadtrip. We live in Devon, and are interested in going to some clubs or music venues within a reasonable driving distance to us. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go?

How can i make sre the saddle doesnt slip!?

i have a youngster horse, who's back has not finished growing. we've had many saddlers out to fit him with saddles and the one he is in now is correct. but still, i do the girth up loads as tight as it can be with out being worked in and hes saddle still slips when i try to mount and now ii cannot mount from the ground with out someone else being there. the mounting Block is no help either as he is afraid of it and it take ages to finally get on, if anyone has any ideas i would be very grateful!

Dry mouth after being ill?

I recently had a very bad virus. For about two days, I wasn't able to swallow, according to my doctor, I had a viral infection on my upper palate (mouth), which affected my throat which is why I wasn't able to swallow, I am almost better, but I find that in the morning, I awaken often with a very dry mouth and sometimes a bit of a sore throat. What can I do to relieve this dry mouth and the mucous / phlegm in my throat?
